Terms of Service

Last updated May 6, 2026

Agreement

By creating an account or using Expid (“the service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, don’t use the service.

What Expid does

You submit a short text idea; we generate a vertical explainer video using a script, voiceover, AI-generated images, and captions. Output is delivered as an MP4 you can download. We don’t guarantee any specific creative outcome — the generation pipeline uses third-party AI models that produce variable results.

Your account

  • You’re responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use Expid.
  • One person per account. Don’t share credentials.

Acceptable use

You may not use Expid to generate content that is:

  • Unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or that infringes someone’s intellectual property or privacy.
  • Sexually explicit, exploitative of minors, or graphically violent.
  • Designed to harass, threaten, or impersonate a real person.
  • Promoting hateful conduct toward a protected class.
  • Intended to deceive viewers about a real event in a way that could cause harm (deepfakes, election misinformation, etc.).

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, and to refuse to render specific generations our systems flag as harmful.

Ownership of output

You own the videos you generate, subject to the rights of any third-party material reflected in them. Note that AI-generated output may not be eligible for copyright in some jurisdictions — that’s a function of local law, not a claim of ownership by us.

Plans and billing

  • Free tier: one lifetime video, no card required.
  • Pro and Pro+ are paid monthly subscriptions in USD, billed via Stripe. Your subscription auto-renews each month until you cancel.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until that date.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months. If we substantially fail to deliver the service for an extended period, we’ll work with you on a fair refund.
  • We may change pricing or plan limits with 30 days’ notice via email.

Service availability

We try to keep Expid running but don’t promise 100% uptime. Failed generations don’t count against your monthly limit. We may pause or shut down the service with reasonable notice if we have to.

Liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of Expid is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time by contacting support. We can suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these Terms. On termination, your access to the service ends and your videos are removed within a reasonable period.

Changes

If we update these Terms, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be announced by email.
