Privacy Policy

The short version

Expid (“we”, “us”) lets you turn a short text idea into a vertical explainer video. To do that, we collect the minimum information needed to run your account, generate videos, and bill you. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

• Account: email address and a hashed password (handled by Supabase Auth).
• Generations: the idea text you submit, the generation options you pick (background, voice, captions), and the resulting video, audio, captions, and scene images. These are stored in our private Supabase storage bucket and only accessible to you.
• Billing: if you subscribe, Stripe holds your payment details. We only store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, current billing period, and plan tier.
• Operational logs: standard server logs (IP, user-agent, request paths) for security and debugging. These are not used to build profiles for advertising.

How we use it

• To run the video generation pipeline you initiated.
• To send your idea text to the third-party services that produce each part of the video: Anthropic (script), ElevenLabs (voiceover), and Google Gemini (background images). These services receive only the text needed to do their part of the job.
• To enforce per-plan video limits and bill subscriptions.
• To send transactional email about your account (sign-up confirmation, billing receipts).
• To investigate abuse or technical issues that affect service reliability.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to deliver Expid: Supabase (auth, database, storage), Stripe (payments), Anthropic, ElevenLabs, Google (generation), Trigger.dev (background jobs), Vercel (hosting), and Cloudflare (DNS). We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time by contacting support; this removes your videos, generation history, and profile. You can cancel your subscription from the Customer Portal in your dashboard. If you live somewhere with data-protection laws (EU, UK, California, etc.), you have the rights those laws give you — email support and we’ll help you exercise them.

Cookies

We use a session cookie set by Supabase to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be sent by email to anyone with an active account.
